Last updated: May 17, 2026. This policy describes how Yedi Technologies, Inc. ("Yedi," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our products and services.
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email, company, role, phone number, and any other details you submit when contacting us, creating an account, or purchasing a product.
When you use the Yedi platform, we collect operational data from your locks and account: lock entries, access events, occupancy data, configuration changes, and usage patterns. This data is tied to your organization, not to individual consumers.
We also collect standard web analytics: pages visited, browser type, IP address, and similar information used to operate and improve the site.
We use the information you provide to deliver our products and services, communicate with you about your account, respond to support requests, and bill for software services.
We use operational data from your locks to run the Yedi platform, generate dashboards and reports for your organization, surface anomalies, and improve our products. Aggregated and anonymized data may be used for benchmarking and research.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your operational data with other customers. We do not show ads.
We share data only with service providers we use to run our business — payment processors, cloud infrastructure providers, email services, and analytics tools — and only the data they need to do their job. These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
We may disclose information when required by law, when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, financing). In any such transaction, this policy continues to apply.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Operational lock data is retained according to the data-retention terms in your service agreement, typically 24 months unless otherwise specified.
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. We maintain SOC 2-aligned security practices. We do not store payment card details on our servers; those are handled by our payment processor.
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly and in accordance with applicable law.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your account data by contacting privacy@yedi.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws. We honor all such rights as required.
We use cookies for essential site functionality (authentication, preferences) and limited analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some site features may not work as expected.
Yedi's products are designed for businesses, not consumers, and not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the product. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
